at the beginning of photography’s short history, we find an immense library of images involving the western world and its customs, cultures and inhabitants. but photography had the ability to transport someone hundreds of thousands of miles away in a single instant, therefore spurring a round of photographers to pursue the non-western world, the exotic, the orient.

finally seeing some friends around chicago (even though the train was an hour late for our coffee date). this is the same classic photobooth from reckless. this is the one and only alysia alex, one of my oh-so-artsy friends. check out her work here. we also hit up a relatively new coffee shop, the wormhole, for a few iced honey lattes.
